Final Setup Summary: Payments, Checkout, Apps

 Step 1: Payment Providers

Primary Option: PayPal Business

•       Already activated by default

•       Just link your PayPal Business account

Alternative Gateways (if Shopify Payments unavailable)

•       Click Add Payment Methods → Choose your country

•       Use popular options like:

o      Stripe

o      2Checkout

o      Payoneer Checkout (if supported)

•       You’ll be redirected to provider’s site to complete setup

 Tip: Even if Shopify Payments isn’t available, PayPal alone covers 70%+ of transactions.

 Step 2: Checkout Page Settings

Go to: Settings → Checkout

 Customize Checkout:

•       Add your logo

•       Set logo size to small

•       Click Save

 Configure Checkout Settings:

•       Contact Method: Email

•       Customer Info:

o      Require First + Last Name

o      Phone number at shipping: Required

•       Tipping: Optional but recommended for extra revenue

•       Click Save

Step 3: Install Essential Shopify Apps

1.  Currency Converter App

App Used: Best Currency Converter

Purpose: Show product prices in customer’s local currency

Setup Steps:

1.     Install the app (select paid plan for auto currency switch)

2.     Follow in-app guide:

o      Go to Settings → Store currency → Change formatting

o      Paste special code from app (2 areas)

o      Save

3.     App will now show currency based on location

4.     Optional: Remove decimals for cleaner prices (e.g., $45 instead of $45.99)

Live Test: Visit store from another country (or use VPN) to see auto conversion.

2.  Loox Product Reviews App

App Used: Loox

Purpose: Import reviews from AliExpress, boost trust & conversions

Setup Steps:

1.     Download the app and start with the Beginner plan, which includes a 7-day free tria.

2.     Add Reviews Widget to:

o      Product bottom

o      Right sidebar

3.     Add Ratings Stars under product title

4.     Customize Email Settings:

o      Send review request email after 14 days

o      Offer 15% discount for photo/video reviews

o      Enable "Refer a Friend" widget
