Learn how to launch a successful Amazon wholesale business in 2025 with step-by-step guidance, cost breakdowns, and expert tips.. From company setup to Seller Central, product research, brand approvals, shipment & Me Too listing strategy.
Introduction
Unlike private label, wholesale selling on
Amazon is simpler, faster to launch, and requires fewer upfront risks but only
if you follow the correct process.
This
article is part of our complete Amazon Wholesale Course. If you haven’t read the previous lecture , check the Wholesale category on our website.
Step 1: Company Formation
To
begin your wholesale journey, you need to legally register your company in your
target marketplace—like the UK or USA.
Requirements:
• Company Name
• Business Email
• Registered Address (UK/USA)
• Business Phone Number
Pro Tip: You can hire services via
Fiverr or Facebook Groups to help with UK/US company registration, virtual
address, and local phone numbers.
Step 2: Create an Amazon Seller Central Account
Amazon
Seller Central is your digital store where all your listings, orders, and
reports are managed. Just like renting a shop in a mall, this account is
mandatory to sell on Amazon.
Seller Central Essentials:
• Company Details (from Step 1)
• VAT Number (if required)
• Valid Billing Info
• Identity and Address Proof
Use platforms like Fiverr or local accountants
to open your Amazon Seller Account professionally.
Step 3: Product Research (Brain Hunt)
Product
hunting in the wholesale model is less about inventing a new product and more
about finding existing successful listings that you can also sell (Me Too
strategy).
Use
Tools Like:
• Helium 10 – Black Box / Xray
• Jungle Scout
• Amazon Best Sellers List
Criteria to Consider:
• Minimum 100 monthly sales
• Established brands with high demand
• Low competition (less than 10 active
sellers)
• Products priced above $15
• Non-gated or brand-approvable listings
Step 4: Brand Approval Process
Unlikeprivate label, wholesale requires authorization from existing brands to resell
their products.
To Get Brand Approval:
• Contact the brand via their official
website or email
• Use your business email & website
• Present yourself as a professional
distributor or retailer
• Provide a business phone number and
registered address
• Ask for a reseller or authorization
letter
👉 Tip: Always reach out to brands
whose products match your research and have realistic approval chances.
Step
5: Create a Shipment Plan
Once you’ve received brand approval and purchased your
products, the next step is to ship your inventory to Amazon’s FBA warehouse.
Shipment Process Includes:
• Creating a shipment plan in Seller
Central
• Downloading and printing box/item labels
• Shipping directly or using 3rd Party
Logistics (3PL)
• Attaching Amazon barcodes (FNSKU)
If
the supplier doesn’t attach barcodes, use 3PL services from the UK/US. Post in
FB groups to find 3PL providers offering label prep, storage, and forwarding.
Step 6: Me Too Listing Strategy
After
your inventory arrives at Amazon, there's no need to create a new product
listing.. Instead, you list under the same ASIN of the brand-approved product.
This is called a “Me Too Listing.”
You
join an existing successful product page and compete on price, delivery speed,
and seller rating.
You
don’t need expensive ad campaigns or creatives—this is the beauty of the
wholesale model.
Step
7: Getting Reviews (Optional in Wholesale)
In
private label, reviews are crucial. But in wholesale, the product already has
reviews. However, your seller account rating and inventory availability do
matter.
To
stay competitive:
• Maintain at least 5 to 10 seller feedback
ratings
• Leverage review request tools such as
FeedbackWhiz or Helium 10 Follow-Up to automate customer feedback requests.
• Offer on-time delivery and accurate
listings
